Hart’s 1860- ‘Captain Moore served in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9, and was present at the battle of Goojerat, and with the field force in pursuit of the enemy to the Khyber Pass in March 1849 (medal and clasp); expedition to the Kohat against the Affreedi Tribe, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th. Feb. 1850. Served at the siege, assault, and capture of Delhi in 1857 (wounded ), and action of Nuffjughur’.
at Nuffjughur the 61st with coke’s Rifles led the assault with undischarged muskets ‘bayonetting all who opposed them. Their fire was reserved for the fugitives , who were presently seen scattered in all direction’
