B. Sunderland, res. 140 High St. East, Sunderland Echo 15/10/1917 'Mrs. M. Hahn, 9 William St. Millfield, has been officially informed that her husband, Pte. R.A. Hahn, D.L.I. has been seriously wounded in the right thigh, and is in hospital in Sheffield. Recovered to serve with the 22/North. Fus. Following his death his widow anglicized her name to Hawes.
