‘F’ Company, 1st Battalion Cameron Highlanders, was killed in action at the battle of The Atbara, 8 April 1898. His name is recorded on the Egypt and Sudan regimental memorial in Inverness. Next-of-kin stated Mrs J. Cullen, 7 Barony Street, Glasgow, Lanark.’
