Stunning 617 (Dambuster) Squadron Pilot’s 1944 D.S.O., 1943 'Pathfinder's' D.F.C., 1943 D.F.M. group of nine awarded to Wellington, Lancaster and Mosquito Pilot. At least 87 Ops, over Europe, he flew 30 of them with the famous "Dam Busters"; and became a "Tallboy" specialist. Scored a direct hit, with the "Earthquake" Bomb, on the entrance of the Saumur Tunnel on 8 June 1944; having obliterated Leonard Cheshire's marking Flare causing Cheshire to remark "...hold on chaps, I'll have to mark it again." FlewVampire Jets over the Malayan Jungle completing nearly 50 'strikes' and returned to Bomber Command to take part in Operations during the Suez Crisis in November 1956. With a super archive, Flying Log Books, photos, a selection of 617 Reunion Menus including ealy ones signed by, Barnes Wallis , Leonard Cheshire, 'Willie' Tate, Dave Shannon, Bill Reid VC among others

Present In the boats in the attack on the American ships on Lake Borgne. One of the 100 Marine detachment at the battle of New Orleans and wounded in the head by a musket ball during the successful attack and the capture of the American guns on the West Bank of the Mississippi River, 8Jan. 1815. Shipwrecked off Campeachy , Gulf of Mexico, aboard HMS Tay in 1816 and taken prisoner by the Spanish Navy . Commanded a company of the Royal Marine battalion present during the Carlist War in 1836-1837 where the Marines were actively engaged especially at the battle of Hernani and awarded the order of Ferdinand
